In this way, contingencies could be planned proactively to deal with any peaks or troughs that might affect them and the company. This allowed managers to anticipate the complexity of physical workloads well ahead of these appearing in their planning systems.

Effective communication is more often than not a core business problem. By implementing a meetings “hub” within a digital workspace, it allowed department managers to review and post their own individual updates, issues, and pinch points across departments. The workflow allowed standard report extracts and messages to be shared in a unified space e.g., delivery issues, quality problems, breakdowns and emergencies.

To save manager’s time, team members were given access to selected stages of the process to update reports in line with their responsibilities.

Also, during all meetings, critical tasks could be allocated in real time while progress was seen visually on other tasks through the automated project planning tool. Daily meetings were reduced from 45 minutes to 20 minutes, with nothing being missed and no minutes or notes needed.
